I don't want to be a kill joy, but do you have an 'ease' setting on the rotating logo? I understand that you have just looped the rotation, but can you see the slight jump, it appears to be more so the background reflection that jumps. If there is an ease setting, consider speeding up a little, this may reduce the noticeable reflection jump.

fully aware of this, showbags, and yes, i have manually set an easing in the rotation, but it isn't the cause. the apparent 'jump' is the result of skipping a few frames at the loop point, which is accentuated by the level of detail in the lower half of the reflection map. there are still a few things i'd like to do before releasing this, so stay tuned. thanks again for your input: it's good to know someone else is looking that closely, as indeed was expected ;)
